Project Overview

Purchasing Associates is a boutique FF&E procurement firm managing complex furniture, fixtures, and equipment programs for developers, owners, and operators of some of the world's most prestigious hospitality and commercial properties.

The Challenge

After two decades on the same website, Purchasing Associates was working with a site that had gone roughly a year without updates and had begun to show it — most visibly in small, hard-to-read text across its extensive project portfolio. The multi-page structure no longer reflected how the firm wanted to present its work: a curated body of luxury hospitality and commercial projects spanning more than four decades. The firm needed a lighter, more contemporary presentation that communicated its scope and positioning at a glance, without losing the depth of its project history or its existing search visibility.

Outcome

We proposed a modern refresh, consolidating the site into a streamlined two-page structure: a scrolling homepage anchored by a rotating photo carousel, and a single Portfolio page replacing the previous multi-page projects setup. The portfolio grid uses a masonry layout to display both portrait and landscape photography without cropping, and blends hospitality with commercial and residential work. Services, About, and Contact sections were rewritten and simplified alongside the visual refresh, and legacy pages were redirected to preserve the site’s existing search standing through the transition.

The project moved through several rounds of client review, with the team refining photo sequencing, typography consistency, and copy details based on direct feedback at each stage.
